Hand Position
Open your flute case carefully on a flat surface.
Pick up the body of the flute first. Hold it gently in the middle.
Attach the foot joint by lining up the rods and twisting gently. The rod on the foot joint should line up with the center of the last key on the body.
Attach the head joint by lining up the embouchure hole with the first key on the body.
Hold your flute up and check that everything looks straight and feels secure.
Give yourself a thumbs up — your flute is ready to play!
